![]() I eventually discovered the issue by percolating through SMTP logs on my mail server. ![]() (in my case, we had the DEFAULT FROM field set to "jblow" instead of our SAVE and TEST successfully sent test emails to whoever you put in the SAVE and TEST field, but when trying to do a scan to email at the actual physical device it would error out, giving absolutely no indication of what was wrong apart from "An error occured while sending the email. ![]() So while this test will confirm whether you can talk to your SMTP server, it does nothing to confirm whether your entries in the "Default From" fields are correct. It merely sends a test TO and FROM the email address you entered in the TO field beside the SAVE and TEST button. When configuring Deafult SMTP settings for scanning to email on the M476DW, be aware that the "SAVE AND TEST" button does not utilize any of the information in the "send from" fields.
